Dairy Tanks, Vats and Farm Maintenance
Menzies has gained considerable experience and expertise in producing dairy tanks or holding vats.  We have build tanks, silos, mixing vats for a number of dairy companies around Canterbury, Otago and the West Coast.  These tanks have ranged in sizes from 60 – 100,000 litre chilled milk tanks to a 500,000 litre milk storage tank for Fonterra Clandyboye.

Structural Steel and Welding
Whether it is on site welding work, workshop based, or a combination of both - Menzies will get the job done. You supply the design and we can build or if you need help with ideas come and talk to our team.
Menzies has a large workshop and qualified welders – this enables us to construct projects from our premises and then move the steel to site. With our portable welders we are also able to come to you.
We can cut and weld all profiles of structural steel. Our mild steel division can produce the structural steel required for even the most challenging design.  Whatever your needs come and talk to our staff and we will work with you to achieve outstanding results.

Menzies engineering division has been operating since 1995. From our fully equipped workshop we have the staff and machinery to construct or repair almost any job. Our machine shop is equipped with lathes, a hydrobore and milling machines and other specialist engineering equipment.

This architectural feature graces the top of Timaru’s St Mary's church spire. It was crafted by Shayne Murray and is made of stainless steel and sandblasted to look like the original zinc version.

Archticetural design

The waxed steel bench & flue paired with this Escea EW5000 cooking fire have been customed designed and manufactured by Menzies to suit the customer’s specific requirements. We can do this style in corten steel, stainless steel or even powder coated finish.

Mould and Pattern Making

Menzies has gained considerable experience and expertise in producing mild steel moulds.  Tank moulds have been manufactured for RX Plastics in Ashburton and Urban Poly Tanks in Australia.  These moulds have been for a water tanks in a range of sizes.  The largest size being a 30,000 litre water tank.  Custom moulds have also been built for Airtech septic tanks.
